LAVISH and Fighting Eel Now Open
Shoppers Will Have Two New Merchants to Visit at Kahala Mall
LAVISH and Fighting Eel both plan to open new locations in coming months
HONOLULU – kahalamallcenter.com— Kahala Mall today announced two new merchants, LAVISH and Fighting Eel, coming soon to East Oahu’s most popular shopping and dining center.
“We’re excited to welcome LAVISH and Fighting Eel, which will be strong additions to our current merchant mix,” said Stephanie England, Kahala Mall General Manager. “They both offer a unique experience for our customers and we’re looking forward to their continued success in East Oahu.”
LAVISH, a nail, wax and lash bar will debut in the 1,108-square-foot space formerly occupied by Luxe Nail Spa, next to California Pizza Kitchen in the next few weeks. LAVISH will accept both appointments and walk-ins and offer nail enhancements, natural nail care, waxing, lash extensions, and a makeup glam bar complete with glitter body tattoos — an extension of its popular L'mour Nail & Beauty/Wax & Lash Bar service in Pearlridge Center.
“Clients have been telling us they wished we had another location offering the same unique services,” said LAVISH Owner Jenny Van. “We are proud to be at Kahala Mall, a convenient location that will suit everyone from town and East Oahu.”
From October 1 through 8, LAVISH will hold raffle drawings for free gift certificates, services over $20 will be 25 percent off and free OPI products will be given on purchases of $60 or more.
“We maintain a beauty profile for each client to make the next visit a customized experience and for every visit, clients will accumulate points for free rewards and discounts,” Van said.
Fighting Eel will open its fourth Oahu location in the next several months at Kahala Mall in the 1,138-square-foot space formerly occupied by Adore, situated near Center Court, between Up & Riding and T & C Surf Designs.
Fighting Eel owners/designers Rona Bennett and Lan Chung combined their distinct personal styles and undeniable love of fashion and travel to create the Fighting Eel brand in 2003. Fighting Eel's line of simple and sexy pieces make up the core of each collection. The designs are versatile and sophisticated, easily worn with either high heels or slippers. In 2012, Fighting Eel launched a sister-line called Ava Sky, named after Chung’s daughter, for girls ages 2 to 10, featuring lightweight, machine-washable versions of the same fun, colorful and comfortable dresses for which the brand is known.
"We always knew we wanted a store somewhere between Kahala and Hawaii Kai because so many of our customers live on that side,” said Fighting Eel Business Manager Linh Owen. “A lot of our customers were having to either drive to downtown or to Kailua for their Fighting Eel needs and so we are making it easier for them. What really sealed our decision is the ease in working with Kahala Mall management. We feel like we were wanted and valued as a merchant and it’s nice to work with people who really want you. We are positive that this will be one of our greater moves as a company."
