Flip Flop Workshop coming to Kahala Mall
Shoppers to Get Creative at New "Design-Your-Own" Flip Flops Kiosk
Shoppers looking for a whole new creative and fun shopping activity will find it at Flip Flop Workshop®, a new gem of a shop that offers their guests a unique "custom-make-your-own flip flops" experience. This bright family-friendly kiosk, plans to open at a new location in Kahala Mall, near Long's Drug Store, on Monday, July 14.
"Visitors of all ages are delighted with the hands-on process of creating their own slippers, from soles to straps to bling," says Katie Kraatz, owner of Flip Flop Workshops. "Everyone loves to be a designer," she adds.
The store offers hundreds of crystals and whimsical accessories, such as dolphins, flowers, butterflies, and letters as well as sports balls, skulls, and grommets. It's up to the customer to decide exactly where they want each accessory placed, and how simple or fancy they want their "flip flop work-of-art" to be.
With the assistance of specially-trained "Flip Flop Geniuses," customers become quickly involved in the design process and find seemingly endless ways to express their own particular style. The staff has an enthusiastic hands-on approach that makes the activity thoroughly entertaining for customers.
"We love to bring out the creativity in every person who walks in the store," says Kraatz. "The look of joy on their faces when they see their finished slippers that were literally hand-made in just a few minutes, is priceless. It's another awesome memory to take home from a visit to our islands." she adds.
The first Flip Flop Workshop was opened three years ago in Kings' Shops on the Big Island of Hawaii. Customer response has been so enthusiastic that Ms. Kraatz has since opened in the Hyatt Regency Resort in Waikiki and Hilton Hawaiian Village.
